Fortunately, the entire festival site already offers plenty of natural shade and cooler areas. In addition, we’ve installed dozens of shade nets above dance floors and chill-out spaces to provide extra protection from the sun. We are close to the waterside so there is usually a nice breeze. Besides the shaded dance floors and indoor areas, you’ll find various shaded seating areas, chill-out zones, and green spaces spread throughout the terrain where you can relax. Those cozy, hidden corners you know from Nous’klaer.
Inside the venue, De Kathedraal will be kept cooler with a ventilation system and all stages will have numerous fans. We also encourage you to explore the indoor art installations and indoor chill-out areas, which offer a refreshing break from the heat throughout the day.
One of the biggest changes to this year’s festival site is the inclusion of De Voedseltuin. De Voedseltuin is a community food garden that brings together nature, urban agriculture, biodiversity, and local initiatives. Filled with greenery, plants, and shaded pathways, it offers one of the calmest and coolest areas on the entire festival grounds.
Whether you’re looking for a place to recharge, catch your breath between sets, or simply enjoy a more quiet atmosphere, De Voedseltuin is the perfect spot to do so. Please help us keep this beautiful space clean and enjoyable for everyone. Do not leave any trash, cups, or cigarette butts on the ground, and treat the garden with care and respect.
Another big change is the Chefaro stage. This new stage lies right in between two buildings (Chefaro and Soundport) offering shade – and a bar directly at the dancefloor. Half of this new area is dedicated to the food court and a (natural) wine bar. You’ll also find a shaved ice stand here, serving refreshing ice treats throughout the day.
Free Water & Hydration
- Staying hydrated is one of the best ways to enjoy the day safely, so make sure to drink water regularly.
- There are two free water stations with multiple taps located near the two main outdoor stages.
- You can refill your bottle or cup free of charge throughout the festival.
- You’re allowed to bring an empty bottle of Max 500ML.
To help everyone stay refreshed, we’ve added two extra bars this year. This means quicker access to cold drinks throughout the festival.
Sun Protection
- We recommend bringing a cap or hat to protect from the sun.
- You are welcome to bring your own sunscreen.
- In addition, free sunscreen will be available at all toilet areas throughout the site.
Several people have asked whether personal mini fans are allowed. The answer is yes — feel free to bring one.
We can’t control the weather, but we’ve done everything we can to make the festival as comfortable as possible. Stay hydrated, seek shade when needed, take breaks, and look out for one another. See you on the dance floor!
